Terms: what you get, what it costs, what you own

01 · What you get

The whole website, from one person.

Site plan: The list of pages, the structure of every page and the first words of your home page, in writing, within 10 working days. Yours to keep, whatever you decide next.
The writing: All of it. You do not send me copy. The words come from me, drafted from our call and your answers, and you correct them.
Design: For desktop and for a phone, for every page in the Site plan.
The build: Custom-coded, no page builder, on your own domain.
Speed and search: The things Google checks, done as part of the build and not sold separately.
A shot list: For your photographer, so the pictures you take are the ones the pages need.
Changes: Two rounds on the design and two on the built site, each from one list from you. Fixing something I got wrong does not use up a round.
After launch: Fixes and small changes for 30 days after the site goes live.

Up to 12 pages are in the price. They are listed in your Site plan and written into the agreement, and an extra page is US$400, writing included. For scale: the New Zealand practice’s site is twelve pages; the hotel’s is fifteen.

02 · What is not included

What you pay for separately, or not at all.

Photography, illustration, stock images and paid fonts. If the design needs them, you license them directly and approve the cost first.
Domain and hosting bills. Both are billed to you directly by the provider, in your name (section 05).
Legal text for your privacy and terms pages. Your lawyer writes it; I build the pages.
Ongoing marketing, ads, SEO campaigns or content after launch.
E-commerce, logins, or anything that needs a database. Linking the booking system or client portal you already use is included, as a link or button that opens it; a technical integration with it, or building one, is not.
More pages than the agreement lists (US$400 a page, writing included).
A second language. An Arabic version of the whole site, up to 12 pages, is US$2,000, fixed: translated by a professional human translator, never by machine, with the translator’s fee included; every page laid out right to left and checked on a phone; and approved by you before it goes live. It adds about two weeks. I don’t read Arabic myself, so your approval matters. Any other language gets a written price first.
Maintenance after the 30 days end, unless you take Care (section 07).

Anything new gets a written price before I start it. Nothing gets built on a conversation.

03 · Price and payment

US$7,500, fixed, for the whole site.

You see each stage before you pay for the next. The call is free. The first payment is the Site plan, and it counts in full towards the price.

The US$750 counts towards the price. The payments add up to US$7,500, not US$8,250. The Site plan is credited in full to the build if you book it within six months.

If the Site plan is late, or no use to youWithin 10 working days of your payment reaching me, you have in writing the list of pages, the structure of every page and the first words of the home page. They are yours to keep, whether or not you go on. If they are not with you within 10 working days, your US$750 comes back in full. If the Site plan is no use to you, tell me within 7 days of receiving it and the US$750 comes back in full. Once per business. If you go on to the build, the US$750 counts in full towards it.

How you pay

An ordinary bank transfer in your own currency (US dollars, pounds, euros, Canadian dollars and more) to a local account in your country; no international wire. Or by Wise. In New Zealand and the Gulf, you pay in US dollars by bank transfer or Wise. Or by card, through the link on your invoice.

Your price in your currency is fixed on the day you sign. After that, what you owe does not move with the exchange rate.

At the European Central Bank’s reference rates of 25 September 2026, and the dirham’s fixed rate to the dollar, rounded. Your own figure is worked out on the day you sign and written into the agreement. In New Zealand and the Gulf you pay in US dollars, so those two rows are only a guide.

Clients in India: the same steps in rupees, on a rupee quote plus 18% GST. The Site plan is 10% of the quote, plus GST.

The local accounts are run for GrowMint Media by Razorpay and its partner banks (the privacy notice, section 05, says what they receive), and the payee your bank shows is GrowMint Media. A local transfer is a domestic payment for your bank, so it costs what your bank charges for one. The Site plan and the booking payment are due on receipt; the build starts once the booking payment has cleared. The design and launch payments are due 14 days from their invoice date. After that I may pause work until the invoice is settled.

Invoices come from GrowMint Media, with my name as proprietor and its GST number. Bank details are never published on this site: they come with your invoice.

Why a different address for payment? Invoices come from GrowMint Media, the registered business quietlybuild belongs to (section 0908), so they are sent from its mailbox. The name on the invoice, the name on the account you pay and the name your bank may check the payment against are then one and the same. Everything else can go to hello@quietlybuild.in.

04 · Dates

Dates you can hold me to.

Site plan: With you within 10 working days.
Build starts: Once the booking payment has cleared. The agreement gives a date for each stage.
Design approved: The design payment is invoiced.
Live: The launch payment is invoiced the same day.
If you go quiet: If I am waiting on you and hear nothing for 10 working days, I write to tell you. After 15 working days without a reply, your slot is released and the build pauses. When you are back, it restarts in the next free slot, with new dates.
Silence: Nothing is ever approved by silence. A stage counts as approved only when you approve it in writing.

The dates assume your feedback reaches me within three working days at each stage. Later than that, every date after it moves by the same number of days. If I cause a delay, I tell you the same day, with a new date. I build one site at a time, so the date we agree is a date I can keep.

If I cannot work for more than five working days in a row, I tell you the same day, and the dates move day for day.

Most sites take six to nine weeks from the Site plan to launch, including your review time.

05 · What you own

The site is yours.

Your domain and every file are yours from the first day. The hosting goes into your name at launch. Nothing is held back if we part ways.

The Site plan is yours to keep from the day it reaches you, whether or not you go on.

When your final payment reaches me, I assign to you all rights in the finished website, including copyright, worldwide, for the full term of copyright, irrevocably.

If you stop part-way, you pay for the work done to date, and everything you have paid for is assigned to you on the same terms when that payment reaches me.

I will not assert my moral rights against changes you later make. Typefaces, stock images and any third-party code stay under their makers’ licences and are licensed to you directly.

I show your site in my portfolio only with your written permission, and I do not publish your staff’s names or photographs without their consent.

06 · One person, and a call first

One person, and a call before you pay.

One person: I do the Site plan, the words, the design and the code. No juniors, no account manager, no handover. Nothing is subcontracted, except an Arabic translation, which a professional translator does.
Every line: I decide the structure and every word, and check every line of copy and code myself. Nothing goes live that you haven’t read.
Calls: On video, before you pay anything, booked onlinearranged on WhatsApp or by email: starting from 15:30 to 18:30 India time, Monday to Friday, plus Tuesday and Thursday 06:00 and Thursday 19:30 India time. During a build, calls keep to the same times: from Australia and New Zealand the Tuesday and Thursday morning calls fall in your day, and from North America the Thursday evening one. WhatsApp calls are welcome in studio hours.
Hours: The studio keeps fixed hours, about 19 hours a week, and takes one site at a time. The hours are 15:15 to 19:00 India time, Monday to Friday. Calls and replies happen inside them, so a message never waits more than one working day. Outside them we work by email and WhatsApp.
Every Friday: While I build your site, you get a short written note of what was done and what’s next.
In writing: The Site plan, the price and the dates, in one agreement you can read twice before you sign.
Stopping: Tell me in writing. You pay for the work done to date and keep everything done so far once that payment reaches me.

07 · After launch

Thirty days of fixes, then Care if you want it.

Every site comes with 30 days of fixes and small changes after launch. After that, Care keeps it working and current. It is optional, monthly, and stops whenever you say.

What Care covers

Watching: Your site is checked every five minutes. If it stops answering, or stops showing your own words, I am told. I am also warned before your security certificate or your domain runs out.
Fixing: Anything that stops working as it did when you approved it: a link, a button, a picture, a page a new browser shows wrongly. Fixes never count against your hour.
Changes: Up to one hour a month of changes to your words and photographs: new prices, new opening hours, a photograph swapped, a new team member, a notice for a holiday. Unused time does not carry over.
Renewals: I keep an eye on everything your site depends on: the domain, the certificate, the hosting plan, and the records that let your domain send email. I remind you at least 30 days before your domain renews. You renew it in your own account; I never pay a bill for you.
A note each month: On the first working day of each month: whether your site was up, and for how long it was not; what I changed; what renews in the next 90 days; and anything I noticed.
Your files: Every change is kept. Once a quarter, and whenever you ask, you get a dated copy of every file.

How quickly

If your site is down, or a page, the call button, WhatsApp or the email link does not work, I start on it within two studio hours. If it happens outside them, I start at 15:15 India time on the next working day.
A change within your hour, with the words and photographs attached, is done within three working days.
Any message gets a written reply within one working day.
Studio hours are in section 06.
When your host itself has a problem, I cannot fix it. I tell you what is happening, and when it is back.

What Care does not cover

New pages or sections, new features, a second language or a new design. Each gets a written price first.
Your domain, hosting and email bills. They go to you directly, in your name.
Your mailbox itself, and its provider.
Ads, social media, SEO campaigns or your Google Business Profile.
Results. Care keeps your site working. It does not promise enquiries, bookings or rankings.

Starting and stopping

Start: Any time after launch. Tell me in writing, and I send the first month’s invoice. Care runs from the day it is paid, a month at a time, invoiced in advance. The price is fixed in your own currency (in US dollars in New Zealand and the Gulf) on the day you say yes.
Access: Care needs my access to your hosting, through my own login, never your password. You keep it switched on while Care runs. You can remove it at any time; Care then ends at the end of the month you have paid for. If your host charges for my seat, it bills you directly.
Stop: Tell me in writing, at any time. Care ends at the end of the month you have paid for, and nothing more is due. Within five working days I send you a dated copy of every file and a short note of what renews next, and I leave your hosting account.
Unpaid: If a month’s invoice is unpaid 14 days after its date, Care pauses until it is paid. Your site stays up, and stays yours.
Price: The price stays the same for 12 months from the day you start. After that I give you 60 days’ notice in writing of any change, so you can stop before it applies.

Small changes, without Care

A small change is one I can make in about an hour: words, photographs, prices, opening hours, a team member, a link. It costs US$100. Anything bigger gets a fixed price in writing before I start, in steps of US$100. Anything that needs more than three hours is new work, with its own written quote. Small changes are done within five working days of your yes, and invoiced when they are done. Small changes are invoiced when they are done.

For example: new opening hours on the contact page and in the footer, US$100. Five new photographs you send, made ready for the site and swapped in, US$100. A new question in your FAQ, written from your voice note, US$100. One service page rewritten after a change in the rules, from a short call, US$200.

In India, Care and small changes are quoted in rupees, plus 18% GST. They are paid the same way as the build (section 03).

08 · If I let you down

What you get back if I let you down.

The Site plan is late: If it is not with you within 10 working days, your US$750 comes back in full.
The Site plan is no use to you: If the Site plan is no use to you, tell me within 7 days of receiving it and the US$750 comes back in full. Once per business.
A date slips because of me: If I miss a date by more than 10 working days for reasons within my control, you may end the agreement, pay nothing more and keep everything done so far.Clause 14.5
I have to stop: I hand over everything done so far and refund whatever you have paid beyond the work done.Clause 14.6
I cannot work: If I cannot work for more than 20 working days in a row, you may end the agreement and pay only for the work done.Clause 15.2
The limit: Each of us is liable to the other for no more than the fees paid under the agreement. That limit never applies to fraud.Clause 13
The law: For a business outside India, this agreement is governed by the law of the place where your business is. If we can’t settle a disagreement between ourselves within 15 working days, either of us may take it to the courts there or in Punjab. For a business in India, the laws of India apply, and the courts at Kapurthala, Punjab.Clause 17
In practice: For a client abroad, what protects you day to day is the order of the payments, not a court. Before you see a design you have paid US$3,000 (US$1,500 on a founding place), and every stage you have paid for is yours.
